"Pound for Pound King", Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has scheduled a fight against the Ghanian Joshua "Grand Master" Clottey for the WBO welterweight belt on March 13, 2010 at the Cowboy's Stadium, Arlington Texas.
The March 13 fight was supposed to be "Pacquiao vs Mayweather Jr." at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It is the much-awaited fight between the two legends, however, it was called off because of the disagreement of both parties to the drug testing protocol.
The fighter of the year, Manny Pacquiao resume includes wins over future hall of Famers - Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Lopez and Miguel Cotto. His TKO victories over Cotto and Hatton made him the 2009 py-per-view king, gaining and an excess of 2 million buys combined.
Joshua Clottey, is rated No. 1 by the WBO and No. 4 by the World Boxing Association. He has gained the International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight title in 2008 after defeating the three-time world champion Zab Judah.
Clottey also holds wins over two-division world champion Diego Corrales and the undefeated, Richard Gutierrez but he came short on two of his biggest fights over Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto.
